MA5-15377 antibody targets IKBKE in indirect ELISA and Western blot applications, showing reactivity with human samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of IKBKE (aa 1–257) expressed in E. coli.

Target Information

IKBKE (IKK epsilon) is an activator of nuclear factor-kappa-B (NF-κB). Overexpression of IKBKE has been observed in breast cancer cells, and suppression of IKBKE induces cell death.
NF-κB is a key transcription factor mediating immune and inflammatory responses. It is normally inhibited in the cytoplasm by IκB proteins, which are phosphorylated by the IKK complex (IKK-α, IKK-β, and IKK-γ).
IKK epsilon (IKK-iota/IKK-i) is a novel component of the IKK complex, required for NF-κB activation by PMA and T-cell receptor stimulation, but not by TNF-α or IL-1.
IKK-iota/IKK-i expression is inducible by TNF-α, IL-1, and LPS in various tissues.
