Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at −20°C.
The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer periods, store small aliquots at −20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
Voltage-gated sodium channels (NaV) are essential for the generation of action potentials and cell excitability.
NaV channels are activated in response to depolarization and selectively allow Na⁺ ion flow.
Nine NaV α subunits (NaV1.1–NaV1.9) have been cloned and are classified by tetrodotoxin (TTX) sensitivity:
- TTX-sensitive: NaV1.1, NaV1.2, NaV1.3, NaV1.4, NaV1.6, NaV1.7
- TTX-resistant: NaV1.5, NaV1.8, NaV1.9
Mammalian sodium channels are heterotrimers composed of a central α subunit and two auxiliary β subunits.
Expression of α subunit isoforms is developmentally regulated and tissue-specific.
Adult CNS and heart sodium channels contain β1–β4 subunits, while skeletal muscle channels have only β1.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
