• Reconstitution: 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW) depending on sample size
• Ships as lyophilized powder at room temperature
• Upon arrival, store at -20°C
• After reconstitution, store at 4°C (protected from light) for up to 1 week
• For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C
• Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles
• Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min)

Target Information

Voltage-gated sodium channels are selective ion channels that regulate sodium ion permeability in excitable cells. During action potential propagation, these channels allow sodium influx, rapidly depolarizing the cell.

• Type I and III α-subunits are mainly expressed in neuronal cell bodies and proximal processes.
• Type II α-subunits are abundant along axons.
• β1 subunit is expressed in brain, skeletal, and cardiac muscle.
• In the brain, β1 and β2 are highly expressed in Purkinje cells, with β1 also present in pyramidal cells of deep cerebellar nuclei.
  Defective voltage-gated sodium channels are associated with diseases such as myotonia.
