BLAST analysis suggests 100% homology with human IL-17A immunizing sequence.
Cross-reactivity with IL-17A from other species has not been determined.

Target Information

Interleukin-17A (IL-17A, CTLA-8) is a CD4+ T cell-derived cytokine that promotes inflammatory responses and is elevated in rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, and transplant rejection.
IL-17A is a 32 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer of 136 amino acids, part of the IL-17A–F family, signaling through IL-17R/CDw217.
It induces expression of ICAM-1, IL-6, IL-8, G-CSF, and PGE2, and supports proliferation of CD34+ hematopoietic progenitors.
IL-17A regulates NF-κB and MAPK pathways, stimulates COX-2 and nitric oxide production.
