The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) are a subfamily of the TGF-beta superfamily of signaling proteins. They are widely distributed and play key roles in physiological processes during development and adulthood. BMP-10 is essential for embryonic heart development, promoting cardiomyocyte proliferation. It signals through receptor complexes such as BMPR-1A, BMPR-1B, ALK1, ALK3, or ALK6, activating SMAD-dependent and SMAD-independent pathways. BMP-10 is structurally related to BMP-9, and both can inhibit endothelial cell proliferation and migration.
