Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
PHO1 is a member of the cytidine deaminase gene family. The PHO1 gene is one of seven related genes or pseudogenes found in a cluster on chromosome 22, likely resulting from gene duplication. Members of this cluster encode proteins structurally and functionally related to the C-to-U RNA-editing cytidine deaminase APOBEC1. These proteins may act as RNA editing enzymes and play roles in growth or cell cycle control. This gene encodes a protein that lacks zinc binding activity and may represent an expressed pseudogene.
