CD79a는 B29(CD79b) 폴리펩타이드를 포함하는 이황화 결합된 헤테로다이머로, B 림프구 항원 수용체의 구성 요소입니다. Ig-alpha 및 Ig-beta와 결합하여 B세포 항원 수용체의 발현과 기능에 필수적인 역할을 합니다. CD79a는 pre-B 세포 단계에서 처음 발현되며, plasma 세포 단계까지 지속적으로 존재합니다. 대부분의 전구 B세포형 급성 백혈병, B세포 라인, B세포 림프종 및 일부 골수종에서 발견되며, 골수 또는 T세포 라인에서는 발현되지 않습니다. 관련 질환으로는 Agammaglobulinemia 3 및 Agammaglobulinemia, Non-Bruton type이 보고되어 있습니다.
