Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IGF-BP7. The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography using an immobilized Human IGF-BP7 matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
For detection of Human IGF-BP7 by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When paired with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human IGF-BP7 (500-P234Bt) as detection antibody, it enables detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human IGF-BP7.

Western Blot:
For detection of Human IGF-BP7 by Western Blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with appropriate secondary reagents, detection limit is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

This gene encodes a member of the insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-binding protein (IGFBP) family. IGFBPs bind IGFs with high affinity, regulate IGF availability in body fluids and tissues, and modulate IGF binding to receptors. IGFBP7 binds IGF-I and IGF-II with relatively low affinity and belongs to a subfamily of low-affinity IGFBPs. It also stimulates prostacyclin production and cell adhesion. Alternative splicing generates multiple isoforms, one of which is associated with retinal arterial macroaneurysm.
