Target Information

TADA2L (Transcriptional Adapter 2-Like), also known as TADA2A or ADA2-like protein, is a 443 amino acid nuclear protein with two alternatively spliced isoforms.
It is most abundantly expressed in testis but found in all tissues.
TADA2L contains one SANT domain and one SWIRM domain, interacting with GCN5 and GR (NR3C1).
It binds double-stranded DNA, contributing to chromatin remodeling.
TADA2L is part of both PCAF and ATAC complexes, associated with histone acetyltransferase activity on histones H3 and H4.
The gene encoding TADA2L spans 71,408 bases and maps to human chromosome 17q12.
Chromosome 7 houses over 1,000 genes and is linked to disorders such as osteogenesis imperfecta, Pendred syndrome, lissencephaly, citrullinemia, and Shwachman-Diamond syndrome.
