Target Information
Signal-induced proliferation associated-like protein 2 (SIPA1L2) belongs to the SIPA1 family of RapGAPs. Although the exact role of SIPA1L2 remains unclear, deregulation of related proteins such as SIPA1 has been linked to myeloproliferative disorders in mice and increased metastasis in human cancers. SIPA1L1 may be involved in embryonic development and regulation of cell proliferation, suggesting that SIPA1L2 could play similar roles in development and oncogenesis.
