Target Information
Component of a Polycomb group (PcG) multiprotein PRC1-like complex, which maintains the transcriptionally repressive state of many genes, including Hox genes, throughout development. The PcG PRC1 complex acts via chromatin remodeling and histone modification, mediating monoubiquitination of histone H2A at Lys-119, leading to heritable changes in chromatin expressibility.
