Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

PYCARD functions as a key mediator in apoptosis and inflammation. It promotes caspase-mediated apoptosis involving caspase-8 and caspase-9, and is involved in activation of the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway.
It plays a role in macrophage pyroptosis, acting as a major component of the ASC pyroptosome that recruits and activates caspase-1.
In innate immunity, PYCARD acts as an adapter in inflammasome assembly, leading to activation of caspase-1 and secretion of proinflammatory cytokines.
It interacts with various inflammasome receptors such as NLRP2, NLRP3, AIM2, and IFI16.
PYCARD may also regulate NF-κB signaling and participate in transcriptional activation of cytokines and chemokines independent of inflammasome pathways.
