Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

Directed against human Ube2j2 protein. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Ube2j2 protein from human, horse, opossum, cattle, dog, mouse, rat, macaque, salmon, chicken, zebra finch, Xenopus and platypus based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Reactivity against homologues from other sources is not known.

Target Information

The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is an important cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation. Ubiquitination involves at least three classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes (E1s), ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2s), and ubiquitin-protein ligases (E3s).
UBE2J2 is a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family and is located in the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene, though the full-length nature of some variants has not been defined.
