AA Sequence of recombinant protein:

Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Fractalkine (CX3CL1). The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human Fractalkine (CX3CL1) matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human Fractalkine (CX3CL1) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When used with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human Fractalkine (CX3CL1) (500-P98Bt) as a detection antibody, it allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human Fractalkine (CX3CL1).

Western Blot:
To detect hFractalkine by Western Blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hFractalkine is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Chemokines are a family of proteins associated with leukocyte trafficking in immune surveillance and inflammatory recruitment. CX3CL1 (Fractalkine) is a CX3C chemokine known to induce adhesion and migration of leukocytes via membrane-bound and soluble forms. It can suppress nitrous oxide, interleukin-6, and TNF-α production in activated microglia and neuronal cells, suggesting an inhibitory role in neurotoxicity. Its receptor, CX3CR1, also functions as a co-receptor for HIV-1 and HIV-2 envelope fusion and infection, which can be inhibited by CX3CL1.
