Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Fractalkine (CX3CL1). Anti-Human Fractalkine (CX3CL1)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect hFractalkine by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required.
This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human Fractalkine (500-P98) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hFractalkine.

Western Blot:
To detect hFractalkine by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL.
Used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hFractalkine is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Chemokines are a family of proteins involved in leukocyte trafficking during immune surveillance and inflammation.
CX3CL1 (Fractalkine) is a CX3C chemokine that mediates leukocyte adhesion and migration through its membrane-bound and soluble forms.
It can suppress nitrous oxide, IL-6, and TNF-α production in activated microglia and neuronal cells, suggesting a neuroprotective role.
Its receptor, CX3CR1, also acts as a co-receptor for HIV-1 and HIV-2 envelope fusion and viral infection, which can be inhibited by CX3CL1.
