Target Information
CD186 (CXCR6) is a G protein-coupled chemokine receptor known as one of the cellular receptors for HIV and SIV.
It is expressed by NKT cells, various activated and memory T cell subtypes, and some plasma cells.
Mouse liver NK cells express CD186, whereas naïve or splenic NK cells do not.
Its ligand, CXCL16, is expressed by macrophages, dendritic cells, and liver endothelial cells.
CD186 is often used as a proxy marker for NKT cell subsets.
