Target Information
Tom22는 세포질에 노출된 음전하의 N-말단 영역, 막 통과 영역, 그리고 음전하가 적은 C-말단 막간 공간 영역을 포함합니다.
세 가지 영역의 기능은 다음과 같습니다:
- Cytosolic N-terminal domain: presequence 결합에 중요한 이중 역할 수행
- Intermembrane space domain: presequence를 위한 trans 결합 부위 제공
- Single membrane anchor: GIP (general import gene) complex의 구조적 완전성 유지
포유류의 TOM 복합체는 진균의 Tom 복합체와 유사하지만 식물의 TOM 시스템과는 다릅니다. TOM34 및 metaxin과 같은 포유류 특이적 구성 요소가 확인되었으며, Tom22 및 Tom37은 식물 미토콘드리아에서 발견되지 않았습니다.
