Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Adiponectin is a protein hormone secreted exclusively by adipocytes that regulates lipid and glucose metabolism. It plays roles in homeostasis and obesity, with decreased levels associated with obesity, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes. In mice, adiponectin enhances insulin signaling and reduces intramyocellular lipid levels by activating AMP kinase and PPAR-alpha, promoting fatty acid oxidation and transport.
