Target Information
GLIS3 유전자는 GLI-similar zinc finger 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, 5개의 C2H2-type zinc finger 도메인을 가진 핵 단백질을 암호화합니다. 이 단백질은 전사 억제자이자 활성자로 작용하며, 췌장 베타세포, 갑상선, 눈, 간, 신장의 발달에 관여합니다. 해당 유전자의 돌연변이는 신생아 당뇨병 및 선천성 갑상선 기능 저하증(NDH)과 관련이 있습니다. 대체 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되었으며, 그중 두 가지의 full-length 형태가 확인되었습니다.
