Product Specific Information

This RG9-35 monoclonal antibody recognizes mouse Galectin 9, a member of the S-type lectin family. Galectin 9 is widely expressed within hematopoietic cells, particularly in CD45R (B220)-intermediate pre-B cells.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cells using the Intracellular Fixation & Permeabilization Buffer Set (Product # 88-8824-00) and protocol.

Use ≤0.125 µg per test (defined as staining 100 µL cell sample). Cell number may range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Antibody titration is recommended for optimal performance.

Light sensitivity: Protect vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.
Excitation: 488–561 nm
Emission: 775 nm

Target Information

Galectins are beta-galactoside-binding proteins involved in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. The encoded protein is an S-type lectin, overexpressed in Hodgkin’s disease tissue, potentially mediating interactions between H and RS cells and their surroundings, contributing to disease pathogenesis and immunodeficiency. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist.
