Antibody detects endogenous levels of total ACADVL.
Target Information
The ACADVL protein is localized to the inner mitochondrial membrane and catalyzes the first step of mitochondrial fatty acid β-oxidation. It acts on long-chain and very-long-chain fatty acids. Deficiency in this gene product reduces myocardial fatty acid β-oxidation and is associated with cardiomyopathy. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms are produced via alternative splicing.
