Target Information

NOR-1 (NR4A3) is a nerve growth factor-like receptor implicated in neuronal development, T-cell apoptosis, and cancer progression. It binds to NBRE (NGFI-B response element) and regulates the POMC gene. NOR-1 expression is transiently induced by various stimuli, and its downregulation correlates with addiction-prone behavior in Lewis rats.
Three human isoforms have been documented: NOR-1, NOR-1β, and NOR-1 3′ variant.
