Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature (RT).
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.
Target Information
This gene encodes a mitochondrial DNA topoisomerase that modifies DNA topology. The encoded protein is a type IB topoisomerase that catalyzes transient breaking and rejoining of DNA to relieve tension and supercoiling in the mitochondrial genome during replication and transcription.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.
