Target Information
EED protein (WAIT-1 or WD protein associated with integrin cytoplasmic tails-1), also known as embryonic ectoderm development, is a member of the WD-40 repeat protein superfamily and the polycomb group (PcG) family. PcG proteins form multimeric complexes that modify histones, leading to stable and heritable transcriptional repression.
EED shuttles between the nucleus and plasma membrane, interacts with integrin Beta-7 subunit, and exhibits antiviral activity at the late stage of HIV-1 replication.
