IdU(Idoxuridine)는 핵산 유사체로, 디옥시유리딘의 변형 형태입니다. 바이러스 DNA 복제 과정에 포함될 수 있으나, 요오드가 첨가된 우라실 구조가 염기쌍 형성을 방해합니다.
심장 독성으로 인해 국소적으로만 사용되며, 1950년대 후반 William Prusoff에 의해 합성되었습니다.
