  Human, Gorilla (100%); Gibbon (94%); Monkey (88%); Marmoset, Elephant (81%)
• For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer.
  After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

Target Information

PDGFRB is a receptor tyrosine kinase implicated in atherogenesis and cell transformation by the SIS oncogene. These growth factors act as mitogens for cells of mesenchymal origin. The identity of the growth factor bound to a receptor monomer determines whether the receptor forms a homodimer or heterodimer (PDGFRA/PDGFRB).
The PDGFRB gene is located on chromosome 5, near the genes for granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor and macrophage-colony stimulating factor receptor, all potentially linked to the 5-q syndrome.
A translocation between chromosomes 5 and 12 that fuses PDGFRB (CD140b) with ETV6 results in chronic myeloproliferative disorder with eosinophilia.
