This antibody detects endogenous levels of total PHF17.
Target Information
PHF17 acts as a scaffold subunit of some HBO1 complexes with histone H4 acetyltransferase activity. It directs KAT7/HBO1 specificity toward histone H4 acetylation (H4K5ac, H4K8ac, H4K12ac), regulating DNA replication initiation. It may also promote acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 by KAT5. PHF17 promotes apoptosis, may act as a renal tumor suppressor, and negatively regulates canonical Wnt signaling, cooperating with NPHP4 in this function. [UniProt]
