OTUD7B는 비정형 NF-κB 경로의 음성 조절자로 작용하며, TRAF3의 탈유비퀴틴화를 매개하여 NF-κB 경로를 억제합니다.
비정형 NF-κB 자극에 반응하여 TRAF3의 Lys-48-linked polyubiquitin chain을 제거함으로써 TRAF3의 분해를 방지하고 NF-κB의 과활성을 억제합니다.
점막 면역 조절, T 세포 항상성 및 정상적인 T 세포 반응(IFNG, IL2 생성 포함)에 관여합니다. 또한 ZAP70 및 EGFR의 탈유비퀴틴화를 매개합니다.Lys-11, Lys-48, Lys-63-linked polyubiquitin chain에 대한 탈유비퀴틴화 활성을 가지며, 직선형 및 가지형 폴리유비퀴틴 형태 모두를 가수분해할 수 있습니다.
