Target Information
STAT1 (Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 1)은 STAT 전사인자 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, interferon-alpha, interferon-gamma, EGF, PDGF, IL6 등에 의해 활성화됩니다.
STAT1은 세포 성장, 세포사멸, 면역 반응, 지질 대사 관련 유전자 발현을 조절하며, 다양한 세포 자극 및 병원체 노출에 대한 세포 생존 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
STAT1 유전자는 염색체 2번에 위치하며, JAK tyrosine kinase에 의해 인산화되어 핵으로 이동 후 다양한 유전자의 전사를 조절합니다.
STAT1, STAT3, STAT5a, STAT5b는 광범위한 활성화 프로파일을 가지며, IFN 계열(IFN-α, IFN-β, IFN-γ, IL-10), gp130 계열(IL-6, IL-11, LIF, CNTF, G-CSF), receptor tyrosine kinase(EGF, PDGF, CSF-1) 등의 다양한 리간드에 의해 활성화됩니다.
두 가지 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화하는 alternative splicing 변이가 보고되어 있습니다.
