This antibody recognizes Fyn, a 59 kDa non-receptor Src-family protein tyrosine kinase (intracellular antigen).

Immunoprecipitation example:
Preparation of cell lysate: 30 min on ice (orbital incubator) in lysing buffer containing N-dodecyl beta-D-maltoside (20 mM Tris/Cl, 100 mM NaCl pH 8.2, 1% laurylmaltoside (w/v), 50 mM NaF).
The antibody FYN-01 provides a specific signal at 59 kDa and efficiently immunoprecipitates Fyn from cell lysates.

Target Information

FYN is a SRC-related kinase expressed in brain, skeletal muscle, and adipose tissues.
It functions in multiple signaling pathways and is involved in memory processes.
FYN encodes a membrane-associated tyrosine kinase that regulates cell growth and interacts with the p85 subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase and the fyn-binding protein.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms exist.
