This antibody has specificity for Human ULBP2/N2DL-2.
Target Information
ULBP2 encodes a major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I-related molecule that binds to the NKG2D receptor on natural killer (NK) cells, triggering the release of multiple cytokines and chemokines that contribute to NK cell recruitment and activation.
The encoded protein undergoes processing to generate a mature form that is either membrane-anchored via a glycosylphosphatidylinositol moiety or secreted.
Many malignant cells secrete this protein to evade immunosurveillance by NK cells.
This gene is located in a cluster of MHC class I-related genes on chromosome 6.
