Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
CD98 (4F2) is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein that serves as the heavy chain of heterodimeric amino acid transporters (HATs). CD98, linked to various light chains by disulfide bonds, is responsible for cell surface expression and basolateral localization of this transporter complex in polarized epithelial cells. It also interacts with beta1 integrins, increasing their affinity for ligands.
In addition to its role in amino acid transport, CD98 is involved in cell fusion and activation, and plays a role in regulating cellular differentiation, growth, and apoptosis.
