Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
SOAT2 (Sterol O-Acyltransferase 2) is a membrane-bound enzyme localized in the endoplasmic reticulum, responsible for producing intracellular cholesterol esters from long-chain fatty acyl CoA and cholesterol. These esters are stored as cytoplasmic lipid droplets.
The enzyme plays a role in intestinal cholesterol absorption and in the assembly/secretion of apolipoprotein B-containing lipoproteins such as VLDL.
Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, though their full-length forms are not fully characterized.
