Antibody detects endogenous levels of total NOLA1.
Target Information
NOLA1 is required for ribosome biogenesis and telomere maintenance. It is part of the H/ACA small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein (H/ACA snoRNP) complex, which catalyzes pseudouridylation of rRNA. This process involves the isomerization of uridine so that the ribose attaches to C5 instead of N1. Each rRNA can contain up to 100 pseudouridine (ψ) residues, which may stabilize rRNA conformation. NOLA1 may also be necessary for correct processing or intranuclear trafficking of TERC, the RNA component of the telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) holoenzyme.
