Target Information
Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) is a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase belonging to the SRC-related TEC subfamily. Mutations in the BTK gene are associated with developmental blocks in B-cell ontogeny and immunodeficiency disorders.
BTK interacts with toll-like receptor (TLR) family members such as TLR4, TLR6, TLR8, and TLR9, which are key components of innate and adaptive immunity. It also interacts with MyD88, TIRAP, and IRAK, but not TRAF-6, indicating a role in lipopolysaccharide signal transduction.
