Target Information
ATP citrate lyase는 세포질 내 acetyl-CoA 합성의 주요 효소로, citrate와 CoA로부터 acetyl-CoA와 oxaloacetate를 생성하며 ATP를 ADP와 인산으로 가수분해합니다. 생성된 acetyl-CoA는 지방 합성과 콜레스테롤 생합성 등 다양한 대사 경로에 사용됩니다. 신경 조직에서는 acetylcholine 생합성에도 관여할 수 있습니다.
이 유전자는 서로 다른 두 가지 isoform을 암호화하는 transcript variant를 가집니다.
