Reconstitute in 50 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material. Store lyophilized product at 2–8 °C. After reconstitution, keep aliquots at −20 °C for higher stability, and at 4 °C with an appropriate antibacterial agent. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for additional stability. Avoid repetitive freeze/thaw cycles.

Target Information

FBJ murine osteosarcoma viral oncogene homolog, commonly known as Cellular proto-oncogene Fos (c-Fos), belongs to the Fos transcription factor family and is encoded by the C-FOS gene located on chromosome 14.
c-Fos heterodimerizes with c-Jun to form the Activator Protein-1 (AP-1) transcription factor, which regulates transcription of several genes involved in cellular signal transduction, proliferation, and differentiation.
c-Fos is phosphorylated by various stimuli, including growth factors and insulin, at multiple sites. The upstream kinase ERK MAPK phosphorylates Threonine 232, regulating c-Fos nuclear localization and transcriptional activity.
