Product Specific Information

Reconstitute in 500 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
After reconstitution, keep aliquots at -20°C for higher stability, and at 4°C with an appropriate antibacterial agent.
Glycerol (1:1) may be added for additional stability. Avoid repetitive freeze/thaw cycles.


Target Information

FBJ murine osteosarcoma viral oncogene homolog, commonly known as Cellular protooncogene Fos (c-Fos), belongs to the fos transcription factor family and is encoded by the C-FOS gene located on chromosome 14.
c-Fos heterodimerizes with c-Jun to form the Activator Protein-1 (AP-1) transcription factor, which regulates transcription of several genes involved in cellular signal transduction, cell proliferation, and differentiation.
c-Fos is phosphorylated by various stimuli including growth factors and insulin at multiple sites. The upstream kinase for phosphorylation at Threonine 232 is ERK MAPK, which regulates localization of c-Fos to the nucleus and is critical for c-Fos-induced transcriptional activity.
