Target Information
Part of the KICSTOR complex, functioning in the amino acid-sensing branch of the TORC1 signaling pathway.
Recruits the GATOR1 complex to lysosomal membranes, enabling interaction with GATOR2 and RAG GTPases.
Functions upstream of RAG GTPases and negatively regulates mTORC1 signaling in the absence of amino acids.
Without the KICSTOR complex, mTORC1 remains constitutively localized to lysosomes and activated.
Also potentially involved in mTORC1 regulation by glucose.
