Product Specific Information
- This antibody can block receptor-ligand interaction in a functional ELISA assay.
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse LOX-1 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
LOX-1 (lectin-like oxidized LDL receptor-1) is a 40–50 kDa type II membrane glycoprotein, classified as a class E scavenger receptor. It is expressed by endothelial cells, macrophages, activated platelets, and smooth muscle cells. LOX-1 binds to a wide range of ligands, including oxidized LDL (oxLDL), hypochlorite-modified HDL, aged/apoptotic cells, activated platelets, and bacteria, reflecting its versatile physiological functions.
