Target Information
SIRT3는 yeast Sir2 단백질과 상동성을 가지는 sirtuin 단백질 패밀리의 구성원입니다. Sirtuin 패밀리는 sirtuin core domain을 가지며 네 개의 클래스(class)로 분류됩니다. 인간 sirtuin의 기능은 아직 완전히 규명되지 않았으나, yeast sirtuin 단백질은 유전자 발현의 후성적 억제 및 rDNA 재조합 억제에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 연구 결과에 따르면 인간 SIRT3는 mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase 활성을 가지는 세포 내 조절 단백질로 작용할 수 있습니다. SIRT3는 sirtuin 패밀리의 class I에 속합니다.
