Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Goat Serum as well as purified and partially purified Glutathione-S-Transferase (Schistosoma japonicum).
Cross-reactivity against Glutathione-S-Transferase from other sources may occur but has not been specifically determined.
Target Information
GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein found in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, catalyzing various reactions.
Glutathione S-transferase is used in the GST gene fusion system, allowing purification of GST-fusion proteins via high affinity for glutathione.
Fusion proteins are useful in assays for direct protein-to-protein interactions, and the GST gene fusion system is incorporated in numerous expression vectors.
