Target Information
PSD-93, also known as chapsyn-110, is a plasma membrane-associated protein localized in synaptic junctions. It is uniquely expressed in Purkinje neuron cell bodies and dendrites. PSD-93 contains three PDZ domains, one SH3 domain, and an enzymatically inactive guanylate kinase (GuK) domain. PDZ-domain interactions are believed to contribute to receptor and channel clustering, influencing neuronal plasticity. PSD-93 interacts with NMDA receptors and shaker-type potassium channels via a threonine/serine-X-valine-COOH (T/SXV) motif. It also associates with neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) through PDZ-PDZ interactions.
