AGR2 (anterior gradient protein 2)와 AGR3는 anterior gradient homolog family에 속하는 분비성 세포질 단백질로, 전이 유도 및 p53 종양 억제 단백질의 억제에 관여합니다.
이들은 호르몬 반응성 유방암의 분자 마커 및 잠재적 치료 표적으로 활용될 수 있습니다.
AGR2는 전반적으로 발현되며, 전립선암, 유방암, 폐암, 신장암, 자궁내막암에서 발현이 증가합니다.
또한 에스트로겐 수용체(ER) 발현과는 양의 상관관계를, 표피 성장 인자 수용체(EGFR) 발현과는 음의 상관관계를 가집니다.
