• Specificity:
  ABS 046-03-02 binds GLP-1 (1-37), GLP-1 (7-37), and GLP-1 (9-37).
  Shows 0–16% cross-reactivity with C-terminally amidated GLP-1.

• Reactivity:
  Binds free GLP-1 (1-37), (7-37), and (9-37) in solution.
  Two ELISA sandwich setups available:

  1. Capture: ABS 046-03 / Detection: Biotinylated ABS 033-10-02 → ~5% cross-reactivity
  2. Capture: HYB 147-12 / Detection: Biotinylated ABS 046-03-02 → ~16% cross-reactivity
     Detection limit: 44 pmol/L (10–20× above basal GLP-1 concentration); optimization required.

Description:
Glucagon is a 29-amino acid pancreatic hormone that counteracts insulin by stimulating glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis.
Mapped to 2q36–2q37.
GLP1 (7–37) is derived from preproglucagon and enhances pancreatic β-cell glucose competence.
It is a potent insulin secretagogue and plays a major role in the enteroinsular axis, explaining higher plasma insulin levels after oral glucose intake compared to intravenous administration.
