Target Information
SCG5는 PCSK2/PC2의 조기 활성화를 방지하여 조절 분비 경로에서 분자 샤페론 역할을 합니다. 비활성 상태의 PCSK2와 결합하여 소포체에서 후속 분비 구획으로 이동을 돕고, 그곳에서 단백질이 절단되어 활성화됩니다. 또한 PCSK2 절단에 필요하지만 단백질 접힘에는 관여하지 않습니다. 뇌하수체 호르몬 분비 조절에도 중요한 역할을 합니다. C-말단 펩타이드는 in vitro에서 PCSK2를 억제합니다.
