Target Information
BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor)는 신경영양인자(neurotrophin) 계열에 속하는 단백질로, pre-proBDNF 형태로 합성된 후 proBDNF를 거쳐 성숙한 14 kDa 단백질로 전환됩니다. proBDNF는 생물학적으로 활성 형태이며, 시냅스 소포 내에서 성숙형과 함께 분비됩니다.
BDNF는 중추신경계에서 널리 발현되며, TrkB 수용체를 통한 신호 전달을 주로 담당하고, 낮은 친화도의 p75-NTR 수용체에도 결합합니다.
BDNF는 신경세포 생존 및 분화를 촉진하며, 기억 형성과 시냅스 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 알츠하이머병 및 헌팅턴병 환자에서 발현이 감소하며, 스트레스 반응과 기분 장애의 생물학적 조절에도 관여합니다.
