Product Specific Information
Description:
Monoclonal mouse IgG2b is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.03 µg) per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
Light Sensitivity:
Tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect from light.
Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.
Excitation/Emission/Laser:
Excitation: 488–561 nm; Emission: 667 nm; Compatible with Blue, Green, and Yellow-Green lasers.
Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Mouse IgG2b is a subtype of immunoglobulin G produced by B cells in response to antigens. It is the third most abundant IgG subtype in serum and plays a role in the adaptive immune response, including opsonization, complement activation, and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity. It is also involved in immune regulation such as T cell activation and inhibition of B cell activation.
Mouse IgG2b is widely used in research and diagnostics (ELISA, Western blot, IHC) as well as in therapeutic and vaccine development.
