Target Information
CD14는 55 kDa의 GPI-anchored 당단백질로, 성숙한 단핵구, 대식세포 및 호중구 표면에 항상 발현됩니다. 이 단백질은 다기능성 리포폴리사카라이드(LPS) 수용체로 작용하며, 분비형 및 효소 절단된 형태로 혈청에 존재할 수 있습니다. LPS 결합 단백질(LBP)과 함께 LPS 인식을 매개하며, sCD14는 LPS의 미세한 구조적 차이를 구별할 수 있습니다. 또한 CD14는 세포사멸(apoptosis) 세포에 결합하며, 알레르기, 염증, 감염 과정에 영향을 미칠 수 있습니다. 대체 스플라이싱으로 동일한 CD14 아이소폼을 암호화하는 여러 전사 변이가 생성됩니다. CD14 기능 이상은 Mycobacterium chelonae 감염 및 Croup과 관련이 있습니다.
