Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
- Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
- Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-rabbit serum, purified and partially purified Elastase (Porcine Pancreas).
- Cross-reactivity against Elastase from other tissues and species may occur but has not been specifically determined.
Target Information
Elastases are a subfamily of serine proteases that hydrolyze various proteins, including elastin. Humans possess six elastase genes encoding structurally similar proteins: elastase 1, 2, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B.
